Material: It is made of Paper Mache which was very popular around 1850s. The inlaid decoration is gold and silver tones but untested as gold.

Age: circa 1850. This collectable antique table top snuff box dates from the Georgian to early-mid-Victorian era. Lacquer Papier mache was developed in England to replace lacquered Japanese goods and this box is likely to have been made in England around the 1850s.

Condition: In excellent antique condition with signs of wear in keeping with its age. Lid closes well. The metal can be cleaned and polished up. For its age the snuff box is in very good condition.
