Hello up for auction is a set of vintage Foxfire soft back books.
1. The Foxfire Book 1972ed. hog dressing, log cabin building, mtn crafts and foods, planting by the signs, snake lore, hunting tales, faith healing, moonshining, and other affairs of plain living. THE BOOK HAS SOME EDGE TEARS ON FRONT AND BACK COVERS AND THE COVER HAS CROWNED ON SPINE.
2. Foxfire 2 1973ed. Ghost stories, spring wild plant foods, spinning and weaving, midwifing, burial customs, corn shuckin's, wagon making and affairs of plain living. Has your normal reading wear and browning of edge of pages.
3. Foxfire 3 1975ed. Animal care, banjos and dulcimers, hide tanning, summer and fall wild plant foods, butter churns, ginseng, and still more affairs of the plain living. Has some fading on the cover and reading wear and browning of pages edges.
4. Foxfire 4 1977ed. Fiddle making, springhouses, horse trading, sassafras tea, berry buckets, gardening, and further affairs of plain living. Has some fading of cover, reading wear and edges of pages are starting to brown.
5. Foxfire 5 1979ed. Ironmaking, blacksmithing, flintlock rifles, bear hunting, and other affairs of plain living. Has some corner creases, cover fading, and edges of pages are starting to brown.
6. Foxfire 6 1980ed. Shoemaking, 10 toys and games, gourd banjos and song bows, wooden locks, a water powered sawmill, and other affairs of just plain living. Reading wear and page edges are starting to brown.
7. Foxfire 7 1982ed. ministers, church members, revivals, baptisms, shaped note and gospel singing, faith healing, camp meetings, footwashing, snake handling, and other traditions of mountain religious heritage. Has name written on first page (to and from) Cover has browned along spine edge, pages have started to brown, and it has your normal reading wear.
8. Foxfire 8 1983ed. southern folk pottery from pug mills, ash glazes, and groundhog kilns to face jugs, churns, and roosters; mule swapping and chicken fighting. Has reading wear and page edges has started to brown.
9. Foxfire 9 1986ed. General stores, the Jud Nelson wagon, a praying rock, a Catawban Indian potter, and haint tales, quilting, home cures, and the log cabin revisited. Has reading wear and pages edges has started to brown.
