The Teac Model 2A is a 6-channel, vintage, analog mixer that was released in 1983. It has 6 1/4" mic inputs, 6 RCA line inputs, 4 RCA line outputs, 4 RCA aux outputs, and 4 RCA access receive/send inserts. It also has 6 RCA direct cue outputs, 4 buss inputs, mic attenuation for each input, EQ for each channel, assignment buttons, pan controls, and six input faders and one master fader. The Model 2A is designed for use with a reel to reel, but the rear jacks can be patched to work normally.
The Model 2A is considered a budget option for recording and is available in black. It can produce a sound that ranges from clean to a warm, defined overdriven sound. The Model 2A can run on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer, but a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
