Here we have a beautiful 800Mhz Snow iBook G3 with a brand new 128GB SSD and 640MB of RAM. I have painstakingly tried to make a cool time capsule with a lot of the software and games that you would want to play from that late 90s early 2000s era. The ram is maxed out for this model year. The hard drive has been replaced with a new 128GB SSD drive replacing the original 20GB drive. With the addition of the SSD the machine runs much quicker and almost completely silent! The machine dual boots into OS 9.2.2 and OS X 10.4, loads Windows 98 and plays Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega games!
The screen is perfect and operates with millions of colors with a resolution of 1024 x 768. I took screenshots of some of the popular titles to show you them working on the unit. There are many more games included than what are pictured so please read the list at the bottom of the listing.

I have installed lots of software which I will list below and stored all the disc images on the hard drive so you don't need to insert the CDs for the software to work. You switch the OS through the system preferences start up disk menu. I have included an easy to understand user manual with pictures that explains how to operate the machine and run all of the software that is included.
The Logitech F310 gamepad drivers have been installed and ready to use, it is a top notch modern gamepad that works wonderfully with vintage Macs and Windows 98 and works in many of the games. Late 90s early 00s computer gaming was predominatley designed for the keyboard but some games are much easier to play with the gamepad.
The machine has multiple excellent word processing applications and you can easily transport documents from the iMac to any modern machine with a standard USB thumb drive and even google drive can open the document files!
This iBook even connects to the internet through the ethernet port! (I do have airport cards available, but you will need to setup your router to work with the older technology, please contact me if you are interested.) I have programmed Netscape Navigator to connect to PROTOWEB which is a vintage webserver that hosts 1000s of vintage websites that completely recreates the experience of surfing the web in the 90s and early 00s.The best part is that you can use Internet Explorer to go to www.macintoshrepository.org and download whatever additional software you would like! It's really fun!
This machine is capable of video editing with iMovie if you are looking to make some authentic vintage home movies. The firewire port is quite fast even by todays standards.
Some music has been loaded into itunes to get you started with tons of space for more. Artists include: Beatles, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Jimmy Buffet, and Duran Duran.
I made this to rekindle that feeling of vintage computing, so I focused most of my time working on the OS 9 side of things, however, you can launch most of the OS 9 software in OS X if that is what you prefer. I am constantly adding new software to the machine so I will update the listing as time goes on.

* Sega, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo - Most of the games work. Some may not work due to conflicts with the emulation software. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of games and I have not been able to test them all. I haven't had any not work but I can't guarantee that all of the console games will work.
The included Logitech Gamepad DOES work with Sega, Super Nintendo and Nintendo.
This is a fantastically restored and maxed out iBook G3 with years of fun installed and ready to go. The case is in very good condition but when you get closer you can see that it has some wear on it but nothing notable. I have experience and will take great care in packing this and ship it with insurance just in case anything happens. *** READ: The CD-ROM drive does work which is not normal for these machines, these drives are notorious for failure, even though it works on this machine purchase with the assumption that it is not going to work forever. You DO NOT NEED the CD-ROM drive to operate any of the software that is included in this package. The battery also works but doesn't hold a charge for very long and I can't guarantee how long the battery will work for.
