A beautiful and vintage Hamilton pocket watch made in 1946, with a solid 18K yellow gold case.

A beautiful and rare engraving of the Hamilton Coat of Arms on the case back. Note perfectly engraved knight's helmet and lion's head.

Model 923 movement with 23 jewels. Only 1200 made in 1946. Hamilton's top of the line movement at that time.

Dial is white/ivory, with yellow gold numerals and hands.

Crystal has light surface scratches visible under magnification.

Case has light surface scratches as you would expect with a vintage pocket watch, but no deep scratches or dents.

Watch runs, sets, and keeps time but not tested for accuracy.

NOTE: The total weight of the pocket watch is 63 grams, this includes the gold case and the movement, dial, hands, screws, etc. I don't know what just the case weighs. I am not a watchmaker, please don't ask to disassemble the watch and weigh  only the case.

NOTE: Photos of vintage Hamilton catalogs are intended to show the Hamilton Coat of Arms and are not included in this sale.

Overall, it's a beautiful and unique 78 year old solid gold pocket watch that is still usable today.
