I will skip the AI description and tell you what I know about this radio.
Meck Industries made Radios 1946 to 1950  before they switched to building TV sets.
They apparently used government surplus from the Stockpile of electronics after WW II ( the chassis seems to made of sheet metal bent to fit their Deco Style case). I have read that Meck often used 1930s dog bone resistors, but I didn't pull the chassis to check it out.
The brassy plate behind the knobs is a nice touch stamped or embossed to shoe the Brand and the frequency settings.
This midget or mantle radio is 8 x 5 x 5 inches and weighs only 2lbs. 8 ozs.
So, it would be just right for a bookshelf . The only blemish is the top had been cracked in several places ( repaired by a previous owner) The radio has the AC cord removed so I didn't try to test it. It has four miniature vacuum tubes (12at6 12ba6 35w4 50b5 ).
I carefully pack the Radios I sell  so that they will arrive in the same condition as in the photos.
EBay message me if you have any questions. I have quite a few radios and tubes , as well as components in stock if you have any special needs.
