About print-on-demand manga: Some years back, Rightstuf (RIP) licensed the right to print some books from then-defunct Tokyopop's catalog and sell them on their website. They would only print a copy when one sold, hence they're called "print on demand" (POD) copies (real publishers don't really use the POD method despite the perk of not having to hold inventory, because it costs too much and the margins would be incredibly slim). Quality-wise these versions are quite nice and actually hold up better than the originals, because they have a stronger gloss cover instead of matte and thick white pages that makes them heavier - it's easy to tell them apart for this reason. The printing quality and inside content is the same down to the ads in the back. One small quirk of Rightstuf's POD books is that they can have weird barcodes or ISBNs - in this case, this book was given a different ISBN above the back barcode than the original Future Diary 9, but the original ISBN is listed intact on the title page. Some collectors care about having one or the other version and some don't, but they're technically harder to find now than the originals since a lot less of them were made, and their weird barcodes and ISBNs often make them non-saleable on online marketplaces like Amazon or secondhand bookstores so they often end up being junked when they enter the secondhand market. Anyway, if you're collecting the series and you have the original mass-printed Tokyopop one, just a heads up the POD versions will look a bit different next to those because of the gloss cover rather than the matte and the pages will definitely look whiter. If you already have the POD versions or don't care, you'll be good to go.
