INFORMATION CONCERNING THE AUTHENCITY OF THIS LOCMOTIVE DIAGRAM

I purchased this locomotive as a of a group of diagrams approximated 450 locomotive diagrams originally acquired from the Baltimore & Ohio offices at Baltimore Maryland by the late Al Weber. Mr. Weber acquired these locomotive diagrams from the B&O offices in 1948 and 1950. They are not copies made for him, but the actual prints used by the B&O railroad at the time. I consider this to be a rare collection of significant historic importance. You simply can not go back in time and acquire items from this collection again.

Some of the diagrams show locomotives that were built in the early 1900's. Based upon the condition of the diagrams, I think some of the diagrams actually date back to that time. Others were produced as late as the 1930's and early 1940's.

In his later years, Al lived in Fort Myers, Florida. He was considered by many to be America's foremost authority on steam locomotive builders and specifications as well as other engineering data. In his research Al Weber vacationed throughout the United States. While vacationing, he visited literally hundreds of railroad offices to collect only what he was interested in: steam locomotive specifications and information and route maps and profiles.
