This item is an original Williams no. 1 Typewriter wooden case with original hardware.

Its condition is as good as can be expected, considering it’s around 130 years old.

It has one area that shows a previous repair, however subtle.

The latch mechanism works, but doesn’t always catch. It’s ancient, what would we expect.

Sold by collector, as is.

This will NOT fit a later Williams number 2. Believe me, I tried.
