A Spanish colonial oil on canvas of the Virgin and Child in a tropical landscape with exotic birds, 19th century and likely Peruvian. It is well rendered and is in good condition for age. The painting has been mounted to a contemporary stretcher for conservation. It is shown with some surface soiling, craquelure, light toning, scattered very small areas of paint loss, etc. It is housed in an antique giltwood frame with some loss to finish.
