We have a lovely Antique set of Plates from Rococo Revival period of the 1830s. Hand painted in Pink and Cobalt Blue with Gold accents.
Made by Thomas Dimmock, these are in good condition without chips or cracks or repairs.
There is some wear to the hand painted areas as seen in photos.
These are Museum Quality.
Three plates measure approx. 8.5".
1 Platter measures approx. 11".
1 Serving dish measures approx. 9.5 inches.
On three of the plates is hand written description of the maker.
Manufactured 'good quality earthenware' - Operated the Albion Street Works (c.1828-59) and the Tontine Street Works (c.1830-50)
Previously: Thomas Dimmock (Snr) [1822 - 1827]
It appears that Thomas Dimmock (Snr) rented the potworks from a John Birch.
His son Thomas Dimmock (Jnr) appears to have continued the lease and then purchased the works around 1838.
What an amazing find to add to your Antique Collection of Plates from the 1830s.
