Polar Bear

This is a figurine of a polar bear made by Nymphenburg during the mid 20th century right after WWII. Designed by Willy Zuegel - he is an amazing piece to look at. Amazingly modeled and painted just enough to look real. One of the nicer versions I have come across but these are not common at all and quite hard to find actually! The figure is 8.5 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide and 6 inches deep. The figure is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the number 392 over 7 as well as the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath and Western Germany. Artist name W. Zügel impressed into the back bottom edge.
