Here we have a wonderful vintage quality copper and tinned SAUCE PAN with a FLAT LID COVER and copper riveted brass handles - made in Brooklyn, New York for WALDOW.
It measures approx. 6-5/8" in diameter (add 5-3/4" for the handle) x 3-3/8" side high (deep) x 3-1/2" in total height with the cover, can hold up to 2 quarts (64 ounces)...to the brim. Lid measures approx. 6-5/8" in diameter (add 4-1/4" for the straight handle extension.)
It is in very good maintained (barely/hardly used) condition with no dings or dents, no tin loss. It has not been cleaned or polished since acquired, and is being offered in "as found" condition currently showing a natural exterior aged copper patina/tarnish/luster, tin is still shiny...appearing to have had little or no use.
The pot's bottom is marked, "BKLYN, NY." and the number "16" is marked by the pot's handle connection.
Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, circa 1970-80's. This item weighs approx. 2-1/4 lbs., add 2-3/4 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
[NOTE: Copper pieces from this particular collection were individually wrapped in paper towel and plastic bags, put in hard plastic bins, and stored in a closet.]
[NOTE: I currently have other matching Waldow/Bazar Français copper cookware items from the same collection on auction.]
