Here we have a wonderful vintage quality copper and tinned SAUCE PAN with a FLAT LID COVER and copper riveted brass handles - made in France for BAZAR FRANÇAIS "666" of New York.
It measures approx. 7-1/2" in diameter (add 7" for the handle) x 3-5/8" side high (deep) x 3-3/4" in total height with the cover, can hold up to 2 quarts (64 ounces)...to the brim.
It is in very good maintained (barely/hardly used) condition with no dings or dents, no tin loss. It has not been cleaned or polished since acquired, and is being offered in "as found" condition currently showing a natural exterior aged copper patina/tarnish/luster, tin is still shiny...appearing to have had little or no use.
The pot's bottom is marked, "BAZAR FRANÇAIS ~ NEW YORK ~ "666"" and the number "18" is marked by the pot's handle.
Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, circa 1970's. This item weighs approx. 3-1/2 lbs., add 2-1/2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
[NOTE: Copper pieces from this particular collection were individually wrapped in paper towel and plastic bags, put in hard plastic bins, and stored in a closet.]
[NOTE: I currently have other matching Bazar Français/Waldow copper cookware items from the same collection on auction.]
