Dated circa 1860-1880, it is exquisitely made from mother of pearl, carved to the edges, with a centre diamond cartouche which as a floral motif and monogrammed E. T.Opening on a side hinge to reveal a rich purple silk lining with gilt edged card pockets. In fabulous, dare I say perfect condition, this is a prime example of these gorgeous items of yesteryear.Snapping shut with a small button fastening to the front, it takes business cards today and would make an amazing antique gift for someone, or a great addition to any collection. Just a stunning piece that will not disappoint the most discerning of buyers.
