square shape with frame - not sure if it's brass or ? (I assume these originally came together)

great display piece or use as a trivet
AET tiles are quite rare and highly sought by collectors.
This was part of my moms huge trivet collection. Most of hers were cast iron. I unfortunately do not have any background on this one in terms of where/when it was acquired.
