DESCRIPTION:
Superbly kitsch vintage Mid Century Vande pottery New South Wales 1950's - 1960's hand crafted and hand painted ceramic bowl. Design features an bearded Australian Indigenous Aboriginal man in loincloth kneeling near reeds with birds in the sky. Edges of the triangular dish are decorated with patterns made up of lines, great feature is a circular cut out. The underside features leaves along with the artists initials S.C & A.T along with the name Vande. Great vintage condition with no chips or cracks, some kiln marks and crazing are evident as seen in images, along with a patch that appears to be slightly discoloured (see images 17, 18 & 19)
