DESCRIPTION:

Beautiful and unusual hand blown dark brown glass liquor bottle. Looks almost black but when held to the light an very dark cranberry or treacle. Was found with a Sterling Silver Hallmarked Cognac Tag, do not think it is original to the piece as it is hallmarked Richards & Knight London 1967. The bottle is beautiful, with a silver collar and handle on the very compressed cork stopper, neither are marked. The handle has a rough edge at the finish. The base is not level and the bottle therefore has a wobble, which is just charming! Comes with the Cognac tag as pictured. Would suggest European. Mid to late 1800s. No chips or cracks, some age related surface scratches. A rare and wonderful piece.

Measures Approx: 19cm Tall without stopper x 14cm Wide x 9cm Wide

Weighs Approx: 694gms
