Handspun pure Merino wool yarn which is super soft and could perhaps go towards making a brilliant hat for the kids.

Total weight: approx 100g

Total length: approx 236yds.

Thickness: approx DK

Colour: lush deep purple, satsuma orange, grass green and canary yellow . Much more vibrant than my camera shows.

Colours may be lighter or darker on  such as Spincycle, Hedgehog, Fyberspates, Manos del Uruguay, Malabrigo, etc. But of course, my lovely yarns are unique and not mass produced.

I spin yarns using a top whorl hand spindle (see pictures). I use a high quality fibres - angora, alpaca, llama, yak, silk, many types of superior wool plus flax, linen and other speciality fibres. I don't use cheap coarse wool like Jacob, Ryeland, Welsh, Swaledale, Romney etc. For safety, I would never use nylon as it melts at high temperature.

I do not cheat by using a spinning wheel or machine of any kind and then have the cheek to call it "hand" spun!  Check with sellers what process they use if not specified.

Each 50gm takes around 6 to 8 hours to spin, 2 hours to ply and time for soaking and setting the twist for which I use a frame with an exact one yard wrap for counting the yardage.

Unlike most other spinners I don't do super chunky yarn. I prefer DK, sock and some beautiful lace weight yarn. This can take 5 x longer to produce than the "thicker is quicker" yarns.

Now the boring stuff: Please do not bid or buy if you really don't want, or can't afford, to pay. If you win you buy. I do expect payment promptly.

I am always happy to combine shipping. Please ask me for an invoice for 2 or more items to be combined. My postage cost includes 75p to cover printing, packaging, petrol to the post office and eBay fees (oh yes, they charge us fees on everything). So for those who wonder about it, the answer is no, I don't make any profit at all on shipping.
