A beautiful Guild D-35 SB acoustic guitar.  Sunburst.  Made in Westerly, Rhode Island.  Serial 86677, dating it to 1973.  Original finish is dull from age and wear, but looks great to me.  Original tortoise pickguard.

this guitar needs a neck re-set.  Years ago, I attempted to remove the neck with steam and got very close, but it just didn't want to come off.  It has since been neglected.  There are scratches in the finish around the neck from trying to take it off.  Before me, someone else messed with the neck joint.  There are still some traces of glue left around it from the first attempted repair.

There are some cracks in the sides around the neck joint that need to be fixed once you have re-set the neck.

the neck is straight except for a bend at the 14th fret.  This is from the neck being partially unglued.  This is something that can be repaired as part of the neck re-set.

The lower frets have some wear from honest playing over the years when this guitar was booming out some great sounds.  There's plenty of life left in them.

Original tuning pegs.  Correct reissue truss rod cover.  The nut is original but chipped a little.  It should still work.  Original saddle.  No bridge pins.

this will make a lovely guitar once it is restored.  Part of me still wants to keep it and have it restored, but I'm having a moment of clarity that it would be better to pass it on.  Comes with a reasonable padded gig bag.  It will be shipped in a sturdy guitar box with plenty of packing material to prevent damage.
