Here I offer a DVD containing over 60 high resolution scans ( 1200 dpi ) of original photos  from an original photo album . I have also scanned the album pages with captions , plus scans of paperwork , numerous original posters and programmes .

Album belonged to Army entertainer Gay Mills who served with Auxiliary Territorial Service ( A.T.S ) . Album covers a period circa 1941 -46 ..there are also a few photos of Gay in her latter years in the 1980s .

Gay joined the "bombshells " army show which toured the country during WW2 , as part of the "Stars in Battledress" organisation .

There appears to be around 12 members of the Bombshells . They stayed together throughout the war . In July 1945 Gay married Ronald Clark who was a comedian with the Bombshells . They had a long and happy marriage . Ron  later went on to form a double act with Benny Hill in 1949 and worked with comedy legions including Tommy Cooper, Tony Hancock and Frankie Howard . During the 1950s and 60s he was broadcaster on popular radio including Workers playtime , variety bandbox and Saturday music Hall .

The Bombshells travelled with a large army  truck towing a long trailer . The trailer had an internal stage and could seat 25 within . For larger open air shows the trailer opened up to form a stage . The bombshells also entertained in larger venues ..Places visited with dates , were listed by Gay ..I have also scanned this information .

There are some great photos within the album , which give a real flavour of Gay's wartime experiences entertaining the troops .
