This is a porcelain Ashton Drake "Monday's Child" Doll, mint in box.  This doll was only removed from the box to take the photos for the auction.   This adorable little baby doll is an original issue in the "Days of the Week" collection designed by the artist Kathy Barry-Hippensteel.

"Monday's Child is fair of face" as the poem goes, so she comes with a beautiful wooden hand mirror.  The mirror, although never removed from the original packaging, does show some aging around the edges (on the mirrored side, not the wooden side).  She is wearing a beautiful outfit with lavender-colored floral bloomers and matching bonnet.  Her white shirt has the word "Monday" on the front.  She also has white ankle socks and white leather toddler shoes.  She is a smaller doll, approximately 9 inches tall.  This doll is handcrafted and hand painted.  She is number 4115 ZA in the edition.  This edition ended in 1995.  Monday's Child comes with her certificate of authenticity.   She will be shipped in her original shipping box.  She has been stored in a smoke-free environment.
