Esmeralda is a beautiful gypsy girl and dancer. She feels the pain of her people, who are persecuted at the hands of Judge Frollo, and defies Frollo openly. When she comes to the aid of Quasimodo, she is hunted down by Frollo's guard. With Pheobus's help, she finds sanctuary at Notre Dame and befriends Quasimodo. She was voiced by Demi Moore in the film.
