THIS LISTING IS FOR A PORCELAIN MINIATURE NOVELTY FIGURE STANDING ON A DRUM BELIEVED TO BE THE DUKE OF WELLINGHAM. THIS FIGURINE IS NICELY HAND PAINTED WITH MULTI-COLORS AND HAS GILDED ACCENTS ON HIS RED COAT AND ON HIS YELLOW AND BLUE ENAMELED DRUM BASE. WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS FIGURE WAS ORIGINALLY PART OF AN ELABORATE CHESS SET. MARKED WITH SPURIOUS DERBY CROWN TRADEMARK STAMP.
MEASURES 3 1/8" HIGH AND THE BASE IS 3/4" IN DIAMETER.
THE PORCELAIN IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS.
