This screen is NOT a OEM screen made by Troy Bilt. I had 100 of these made to my specifications. I bought a screen on ebay from a dealer that led me believe it was a Troy Bilt screen. When it arrived I saw a screen made of thinner steel and welded wrong. I took it to a friends home he cut the welds and rewelded it. I brought it home and tried to put it in my machine but it did not want to fit unless I twisted and turned it. I finally got it in the machine I started to vac my yard after about a hour I went to get a drink of water on my way back to the machine I saw the snout was twisted to one side after looking for the reason I found it was the screen The inner ring was to big that is why it would not fit easy into the opening. The welded edge was touching the frame of the machine at the bottom pushing the intake housing out at the bottom causing the snout to be twisted making it higher on one side. Then I got mad and spent way to much time looking for a company to make these screens for me. I did not want to make the same screen that Troy Bilt made I wanted a better screen. I wanted 12 gauge steel not 14 gauge that Troy Bilt used. I know for sure I would not be to using the 16 or 18 gauge that a seller on ebay sold me with the cheap paint job. I called him with my complaint he said send it back he would give me my money back with shipping both ways. I was surprised He did not take paypal so I thought he would do nothing. I was wrong. After way to much time and 15 metal shops sent me walking I finally found a company to make them for me. They where willing to make them out of 12 gauge steel and weld them with a wire feed not spot welded they also put a powder coat red finish on them. To get a real good price I would have to buy a 1,000 of them I could not do that. So I had to pay more per screen to have 100 made. I believe a Troy Bilt owner like myself would be willing to spend a little extra money for a much better quality screen just like they where willing to pay more for a Heavy duty quality bag that I make. The best part is I will offer a buy it now price that will be fair. No bidding wars pushing the price up as high as $180.00 on a screen that was not even a OEM Troy Bilt.

What difference will a 3/4 inch screen make compared to 1-1/8 inch screen 
 
The material that has been chipped or vacuumed must pass through the slots in the screen before it is discharged. The size of the slots in the screen determine how finely the materials are shredded. The standard 1-1/8 inch slotted screen supplied with all machines will produce up to an 8:1 reduction of material. The optional 3/4 inch slotted screen will produce more finely shredded material at a ratio of up to 11:1
