1.2mm (16 gauge) x 3 metre length

1.5mm (14 gauge) x 1.75 metre length

Our silver plated wire has a copper core and can be used for hundreds of craft projects. Classed as half-hard the wires are soft enough to shape and firm enough to hold that shape. Choose the heavier wires to create structures, the mid range wires for bead wrapping and detail work and the very fine wires for embroidery and weaving.

The following uses are a suggestion only and are based on common usage

0.2mm - needle work, weaving, crocheting and jewellery binding and wire wrapping.

0.4mm - needle work, weaving, crocheting and jewellery binding, wire wrapping and bead work.

0.6mm - General bead work, head pins, eye pins, rings and ear wires.

0.8mm - This wire is approximately the thickness of a standard paper clip. Use for links and clasps and lightweight structures.

1mm - Heavy duty jewellery structures, wire sculptures and models.

1.2mm & 1.5mm - Very heavy wire which keeps its shape well and is suited to larger wire structures and jewellery making where the piece is required to hold its shape - like bracelets and rings.
