This Purple Wide Obi Belt is traditionally worn over the Yukata or Kimono for public occasions and festivals to give a formal appearance. (The small matching sash belt that comes with a kimono or yukata is usually worn at home, bath houses or as night attire.) The Obi Belt is simply wrapped around the waist and the end of the belt is tucked under.
