Presencia 60wt 100% mercerized cotton thread is finer than the more common 50wt thread, but since it is 3-ply, it is just as strong. We learned about this thread from Harriet Hargrave after taking a quilting class from her when she visited our local quilt guild. Because the 60wt thread is thin, it takes up less space in the seam allowance and makes your piecing more accurate and lay flatter. Perfect for piecing, quilting, or any sewing project.
