This RARE book is a must for any Northwest History buff!
The Fourth Corner: Highlights from the Early Northwest By Lelah Jackson Edson with an Introduction by Alfred B. Loop. Published in December 1968 by Whatcom Museum of History and Art, Bellingham, WA. Printed by Craftsman Press, Seattle, WA. LIMITED EDITION COPY NUMBER 936. 10 1/4" x 7 1/2". 298 black and white pages with many historical photographs and illustrations. The book is very good, firm & square. Clean condition with no missing pages, tears or creases. Cover boards are solid & firm. Dust jacket has been taped to hold it together on the front fold and there are creases and rips in other places but for the most part is in fair condition.

This volume is a chronological series of factual stories of the Northwest Border country - the Northern Puget Sound and Straits of Georgia and Juan de Fuca waters, mostly before the railroads were completed. The tribulations of the first settlers who landed a century ago are graphically depicted as are the adventures of later arrivals. The stories are entertainingly told, and are as interesting and often as unbelievable as fiction.

The author, Mrs. Lelah Jackson Edson, as a young girl reached the "Fourth Corner" before the coming of the railroad, when steamer and canoe were the standard methods of transport and roads were almost non-existent.

RETURN POLICY

I am happy to refund your money if you are not completely satisfied with your item within 30 days from your date of purchase. Return shipping will be at customer expense and a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the original cost. Refund will be made upon my receipt of the item. I do not offer exchanges as my items are one of a kind.  Please contact me as soon as possible if your item is damaged upon arrival. Please send pictures of the packaging and damage. I will handle the claims process for you.
