A Little HELLBOY publication History, which I am sure you already know:
A while ago it was thought that, the first appearance of Hellboy was
dated December 1993 (Next Men #21 ). In an interview Mike Mignola
declared that the first appearance of this hero was May 1993 in the very
rare Dime Press #4!!!
Here's the interview: "The Dime Press, if it's the Italian Fanzine
that I'm thinking of, is the first drawing of the Hellboy that more or
less exists today (stone hand, etc)... The '91 drawing is the first time
I used the name Hellboy, but hadn't yet thought of creating an actual
series about the character...the character from '91 bears little
resemblance to the modern version of Hellboy. Mike."
Order of appearance of the HELLBOY we Know and Love today:
- May 1993 FIRST Appearance of Hellboy: Dime Press #4 (the most rare
of the fanzine)!!! Cover designed by Nicola Mari and Mike Mignola which
shows Nathan Never and the first Hellboy.
- August 1993: SAN DIEGO COMIC CON # 2, first Hellboy American appearance and story.
- December 1993, appearance of Hellboy in a nationally released Comic Next Men #21 and the first color appearance of Hellboy in a nationally released comic.
A MUST HAVE FOR EVERY HELLBOY FAN / COLLECTOR. A GREAT INVESTMENT AND ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION!
Yes,
I can grade comics myself, BUT grading is subjective, Pictures are real. I take and upload REALLY BIG PICTURES of the
comic(s) I am selling. Please make your own judgement on the comics
condition before buying.
Yes
I know that 'Awesome', 'Nice' and 'Excellent' aren't official CGC /
Comic Grading Terms. I have used them on purpose because I don't want
to have email debates about the exact definition of NM vs NM+ or 9.4 vs
9.6. Grading is subjective.
PLEASE NOTE: BEST OFFERS PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING,
even if you add a comment that says 'my offer includes shipping' . . .
IT DOESN'T. eBay's logic is not sophisticated enough to deal with this,
so please be sure to factor in shipping separately from your offer. If
you do put in any condition text into your best offer, eBay's
Auto-Accept feature is blocked for your offer. Why is that important? I
had somebody put in a Best Offer and added the condition "Thank You",
which was nice, but it kept their offer from being auto-accepted. Later
that night, before I saw the offer, somebody else bought the item at
full price. Good For Me . . . Not good for the 1st buyer.

ImaPaqRat Return Policy:
In most cases I do offer returns, I just am not opting into the new
eBay Managed Return Process. Unless my listing specifically states,
"SOLD AS IS!" or "RETURNS NOT ACCEPTED" in the description, I will accept returns if contacted
within 7 days of the item being received. eBay's new Managed Return
Process has too many holes and puts another barriers between the buyer
and the seller. If you are unhappy for any reason with your purchase,
please contact me through the eBay Messaging process so I can work with
you. Unfortunately, eBay has made a change to their system so sellers
cannot offer returns managed by the seller, the seller is force now to
either use eBay Manage Returns or select "No Returns Accepted" as the
business policy. Hopefully eBay will see the error in their ways and go
back to the system that was working fine. I do appreciate your understanding.
COMIC PACKAGING: All
comics are Bagged & Boarded, then wrapped it packing paper and
finally sandwiched between too pieces of cardboard. I use enough tape
to keep the comics safe, but not so much tape that you have to cut the
comics from a tape entombment! In other words, I wrap and ship the
comics the way I would like my comics to be wrapped and shipped. I
cannot control the Post Office, but unless the package is run over or
dropped from the Empire State Building, it will arrive in the same
condition you bought it in.
NO SUCH THING AS FREE SHIPPING! The fallacy of ‘Free Shipping’, according to ImaPaqRat:
If the seller provides ‘Free Shipping’ it means they have already
factored in the full cost of shipping into their pricing. If you happen
to buy 10 items from that seller, you are paying full shipping on 10
items even though they may ship them all in one box. I on the other hand
post the shipping cost and if a buyer buys more than 1 item, I can
provide them with a consolidated shipping discount. If you win more than
1 item from me, please contact me, before you pay so I can send you a
consolidated invoice.
CONSOLIDATED SHIPPING: I do offer consolidated shipping whenever possible, but my 1st priority is to ensure your items are received safely. If
you are buying more than 1 item, please contact me when you are done so
I may send you a consolidated invoice. PLEASE DO NOT PAY THEN ASK ME
TO CONSOLIDATE THE SHIPPING! To take advantage of consolidated handling fees you must make a single payment, within 7 days of the first auctions end date.
SMOKE FREE / PET FREE!:
Your comic(s) ship from and have been in a Smoke Free / Pet Free Home

when you open up your package!
FEEDBACK POLICY: We
do provide honest feedback for all transactions, but only after
feedback has been left for us first. Sorry but we have had a few
erroneous negative feedbacks, after we had already left our positive
feedback. If you have any problems with your purchase(s), please contact us via email before leaving feedback. We will do everything we can to correct any misunderstandings.
