This is a good quality Charles II style oak carved hall / side chair originating from the Lancashire region, which have been constructed from early 17th century panels & timbers during the late Victorian period, circa 1880.  The chair, which is constructed of walnut, features, a very pretty carved floral crown flanked by turned vertical spindles to the back.  The seat features a round turning to the centre.  Below, the chair is supported by elegant “pear-shape” turned bobbin legs, which are connected by double stretchers for added strength.  The chairs boast a stunning colour.


The chair features a rich dark brown colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.


This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom, living room, dining or hallway.  This item would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional.  So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Condition Report:

This chair is in excellent condition.  The chair has been constructed from early 17th century timbers during the late Victorian period (circa 1880).  There is no damage to the frame or breaks to the legs.  The frames and arms are also in excellent condition with no splits or lose movements.  Excellent colour.  The chairs sit firm on the ground and do not wobble.  Free of active woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.

Delivery to any address in mainland England & Wales is £65.  For delivery to Scotland & Ireland, please email for a quote.  If you wish to avoid the delivery cost, you can collect the item in person.  Delivery will be made by our own specialised furniture delivery service, or in some cases we will use a courier service for distant deliveries. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage.  We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit.  This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
