Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a lovely 19th Century gilt bronze French dresser box. The box features a small decorative medallion set in the center top with hand painted pictorial scene of a couple in a garden. Has beautiful coloration and fine detail, artist signed. The box has an engraved pattern in the bronze border around the center medallion and each corner is inlaid with pink guilloche enamel decoration. Box has original locking mechanism although we do not have the key. The interior is fabric lined and padded in a pale gold color and appears to be original.

Measures 1 3/4" high, 3 3/4" long and 3 1/4" wide. Weighs 1.9 pounds.

This nice box is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There are expected signs of wear to the metal base with the metal having naturally aged patina with slight polish remains. The interior fabric is slightly faded and with one area of staining and normal wear.
