Vintage original huge , large size Menu.   similar to a poster in size.    18" inches in height , and aprox  12  1/4" inches across.

lots of small light stains to front.   top/left corner creased 2" inch.   all other corners creased about 1" inch or less.

back cover has some darker stains , see scans.    Inside has writing , where some prices were marked / updated.

overall good condition.   very large menu , very unusual.

inside left page / top line reads :  " Traditional Foods and Wines Served in the Gay Atmosphere of Old Mexico For Your Enjoyment "

will be mailed boxed.


Not dated.   inside wines mentioned are dated Chianti 1947 Italy and Imported Rhine 1939 Chile.

along the bottom front of menu , marked :  " Exhibition of Mexican Paintings by the Saint Louis Artist Fred J. Carpenter "  only info I could find on this artist is that he was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1882, moved to St. Louis and entered Washington University’s School of Fine Arts in 1900.  He spent the summer of 1902 in Paris, then worked as a guide to the St. Louis World’s Fair’s art exhibition, before becoming a faculty member at his alma mater.  He would remain there until 1952.

my guess on the age is late 1950's , but not certain.
