On December 4th, 2014, NASA will began the next significant chapter in space exploration, launching the Orion Spacecraft aboard a Delta IV Heavy rocket. What this means for the future of human space travel is monumental. For the first time in 40 years, a spacecraft has been designed that will eventually carry American astronauts  - launching from US launch pads - into space beyond low earth orbit. Eventually, the Orion Spacecraft will take astronauts deep into our solar system, including Mars and maybe beyond. This piece, titled "Orion Dawn," features the Orion Spacecraft moments after liftoff, silhouetted against the early morning sky. 

All of my original paintings are created with seawater or rainwater, depending on the subject. I work in different mediums for different projects and enjoy experimenting and combining mediums to create something new and unexpected. I generally paint scenes of sea-life, storms, seascapes, life in Florida, and whatever happens to strike my mood at a particular time.
