You are buying an A4 modern print of the vintage pattern and not the finished item.

This super pattern gives both the knitter and the crochet enthusiast the economical option of creating pretty "collars to 'brighten up' your frocks" according to the pattern so enhance your existing wardrobe of clothing!. A wonderful way to use up those oddments that we all collect 'just in case'!. Four of the collars are knitted and two are crocheted (see below), with five being originally constructed in 2-ply yarn and one in 3-ply. You may wish to use a modern 3-ply in the place of the 2-ply and 4-ply in place of the 3-ply to obtain similar results to those in the pattern, as vintage yarns were heavier than modern. Regards the "Knitted Rainbow Collar" (top left) an amazing 14 shades were used in the original collar, with each 'stripe' (2 rows of knitting) taking about 40 inches of wool!, but as with many of the 40's patterns nothing was left to waste, due to rationing at the time. In all a wonderful pattern to add extra interest to your vintage wardrobe!

Information below for materials are taken directly from the pattern, no size or tension information is given.
