This is a lovely straight forward pattern to make both a full sized shawl for baby in a diamond pattern and a matching head shawl. Both are knitted in 2-ply on a pair of No.7 needles. You may wish to try to complete this pattern in modern 3-ply yarn as vintage yarn was 'heavier' than modern. The finished size of this shawl is about 66" when stretched and the head shawl 28" when stretched.

Tension:
11 sts. to two inches in width on stocking stitch. Each diamond measures 2 1/2" in width at the widest part.
