THE KASHIRA IS THE "BUTT" CAP OR POMMEL ON THE END OF A TRADITIONAL JAPANESE KATANA (SAMURI SWORD).
EACH PIECE HAS THE SHAKUDO FINISH.
(1) FEATURES GOLD/GILT ACCENTS ON RAISED DECORATION ON TOP (IN ELEPHANT DESIGN). MEASURES 1 3/8" LONG, 3/4" WIDE AND 1/4" DEEP.
(2) FEATURES AN EMBOSSED FLYING BIRD IN RELIEF ON HAND HAMMERED BACKGROUND. MEASURES 1 1/2" LONG, 3/4" WIDE AND 1/4" DEEP.
(3) FEATURES FIVE (5) MEDALLIONS WITH CALLIGRAPHY AND ENGRAVED FISHSCALE BACKGROUND. MEASURES 1 5/16" LONG, 3/4" WIDE AND 5/16" DEEP.
(4) FEATURES EMBOSSED SAILBOAT AT BOTTOM WITH LARGE JUMPING FISH AT TOP IN RELIEF. MEASURES 1/1/4" LONG, 5/8" WIDE AND 3/8" DEEP WITH ROUNDED TOP. HAS DAMAGE TO OPENING ON ONE SIDE.
THREE ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, SHOWING REFLECTING NORMAL WEAR FOR AGE AND USE. THE FOURTH HAS DAMAGE ON ONE SIDE AS MENTIONED ABOVE.
