The entire surface is covered with gemmy sulfur crystals to 3/4", rising up above a bed of smaller crystals set on a thick, sturdy piece of matrix. The color is fantastic, a sunny lemony buttery yellow that is as good as it gets from the locality, and which rivals the best Sicilian sulfur for color. The crystals are elongated prisms, sharp and highly lustrous, and fairly gemmy inside. Overall, this is a highly aesthetic piece from a once prolific locality that is now closed and won't be producing any more material.
