This is commercial quality lava rock used in various commercial Char Grills (Falcon, Lincat, Parry, Rutland, Garland, Imperial etc).
Please be aware that this is a commercial quality item that we have been supplying to restaurants for years, not the cheaper domestic type sold elsewhere on ebay. Do not confuse this item with charcoal, this lava rock is for use in commercial gas powered chargrills and gas powered barbecues. It is long lasting and does not actually burn away like charcoal ie. it is not fuel.
Lava rock glows like charcoal and by vapourising drips, gives food that unmistakable 'chargrilled' taste. This lava rock is fast heating and offers very good heat retention, thereby reducing energy consumption, its light weight and uniform density reduces cold spots on the grill.
