Rocket Raccoon's appearing in Marvel's Mega Blockbuster Movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy", his 1st
Appearance is bound to continue to go UP & UP in value. Get your
copy while it is still affordable! A interesting fact about the members of the team in Marvel's Mega Blockbuster "Guardians of the Galaxy" film is the fact that at one point or another all five members of the group (Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket Raccoon) had to wait over a decade between comic book appearances. In other words, the entire team had a long road to travel to get to the point of starring in their own feature film. None of the others, though, had quite as strange of a journey as Rocket Raccoon, who began his fictional life as a one-off joke character seemingly destined to be lost to history. Instead, nearly forty years after his debut he is about to be a featured character in a major motion picture. Rocket Raccoon even has a Beatles tie in! This name "Rocky" is a direct reference to the song off of the Beatles' "White Album" titled "Rocky Raccoon." This comic's story title, "Now Somewhere In the Black Holes of Sirius Major There Lived a Young Boy Name of Rocket Raccoon!" is also a reference to the Beatles song, "Rocky Raccoon"; the song opens with "Now somewhere in the black mountain hills of Dakota, there lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon". Also, Rocky's friend in this issue is Wal Russ, another Beatles reference, this time, to the song "I Am the Walrus". But WAIT . . . There's More! The Hulk helps them fight a bad guy who want to steal the greatest treasure on Halfword, Gideon's Bible ; YEP another reference to the Beatles song "Rocky Raccoon", specifically the lyric "Rocky Raccoon checked into his room, only to find Gideon's bible").

NEWSSTAND VARIANTS: Here is some additional newsstand comic information. Newsstand
copies are traditionally much harder to find in High Grade condition
for a number of reasons. Mainly the extra handling associated with the
newsstand distribution path caused spine creased books before they were
ever purchased. Also it is very commonly believed that people who
purchase comics from the newsstand are not the serious collector but the
casual fan, so they weren't as concerned about the condition of the
comic to begin with. In addition, the racks that newsstand copies were
frequently displayed in caused creasing and dog-eared corners just from
being inserted and removed from those racks. Finally the newsstand
version overstock inventory were usually returnable to the distributor;
to save on return shipping the cover was torn from the comic and only
the covers were returned, the rest of the comic was tossed. That means
that normally the only comics that are available on the secondary market
are those that were purchased from the newsstand and much more likely
to be in a lower grade and harder to find than Direct Edition copies.
True obsessive completist will try to collect both the Direct Edition
& Newsstand copy for their collection and will always be looking for
the HIGH GRADE NEWSSTAND variant. I bought
huge overstock comic lots, 40K to 50K comic lots, over 10 years ago, before Rocket Raccoon was so Hot! So most of my back issue comics are Unread, Flat,
Overstock GEMS!

IT DOESN'T. eBay's logic is not sophisticated enough to deal with this,

COMIC PACKAGING: All comics are Bagged & Boarded, then wrapped it packing paper and finally sandwiched between too pieces of cardboard. I use enough tape to keep the comics safe, but not so much tape that you have to cut the comics from a tape entombment! In other words, I wrap and ship the comics the way I would like my comics to be wrapped and shipped. I cannot control the Post Office, but unless the package is run over or dropped from the Empire State Building, it will arrive in the same condition you bought it in.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE: If unsatisfied you will receive a full refund of the purchase price once the item is returned in the same condition as shipped.
