You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDS TEXT: The text was not published a bold black, but appears as a shade of grey and this is reflected in the pattern you will receive. The pattern has also been well used, so you will see minor discolouration in a few places, this should be viewed as 'character' and not a fault! All instructions are clear.

This is a really lovely pattern for a baby girl for a dress, jacket, bonnet and bootees; with beautiful stitch work, co-ordinating all the items. Instructions allows the knitter to knit this little set in a single size that is to fit a baby with an 18 inch chest. All items are worked on 3.25mm (No.10) and 4mm (No.8) needles using Baby D/K wool. You should be okay using a modern Baby D/K, but work your tension square, and change needles if necessary to obtain the tension stipulated in the pattern. A truly lovely set for any baby girl to wear!

TENSION FOR ALL ITEMS- 22 sts. and 30 rows to 10cm (4in.) over stocking stitch using 4mm (No.8) needles

Materials:

Baby D/K wool

1 pair 3.25mm (No.10) & 4mm (No.8) needles

2 buttons for the dress

4 buttons for the jacket

3.00mm crochet hook for bonnet

3 metres of narrow ribbon

1 metre of wider ribbon

Measurements- 

Chest- 46cm (18ins.)

Dress length- 36cm (14¼ins.); sleeve seam- 5cm (2ins.)

Jacket length- 31cm (12¼ins.); sleeve seam- 16cm (6¼ins.)

No measurements for bonnet and bootees.

Tension-

22 sts. and 30 rows to 10cm (4 ins.) measured over stocking stitch.
