You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.

This is a lovely vintage pattern from the 1950s for a straight forward shawl with an easy to knit centre and lace edging. The shawl is offered in three sizes for baby, namely, Large- 64 inches square; Standard- 52 inches square, and Head Shawl 36 inches square. All shawls were originally knitted in 3-ply Baby Wool or 3-ply Bri-Nylon by Greenock which are now both long discontinued, however, you may wish to try these shawls in a modern 4-ply Baby Wool as vintage yarns were 'heavier' than modern, so work a tension square and change needles if necessary to obtain the correct tension as stipulated in the pattern.

Measurements and requirements to complete both of these project are below and taken DIRECTLY from the pattern.
