Firstly I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my listing. We here at e-RetroGaming take pride in our work and put customer satisfaction ahead of everything else! We have been fixing and repairing consoles for over 10 years now since the first RROD's and YLOD's started to happen. We saw an opportunity to fix them and we took it. We have repaired hundreds of consoles from our local area and are now looking to expand! So let's get to the details!
Ah yes, most important! Our service will void whatever warranty you have on your console. If you have a warranty we strongly suggest you return and follow your warranty procedures with the vendor you purchased your unit from!
So here is how it works!
Step One:
After you have completed checkout we will send you a message with our address for you to send your console to. We recommend shipping it securely with bubble wrap and with insurance! You must also include a copy of your eBay receipt or it will slow down the process. Insurance is not necessary but recommended. You pay for the shipping to us with whatever carrier you chose. We can also send you a prepaid shipping label however you must contact us prior to checkout.(Additional charge)
Step Two:
Once we receive your precious cargo (your console) we will contact you to let you know we have received it and begin our evaluation and repair process. We will keep you updated every step of the way! Please include your cellphone number if you would like text updates!
Step Three:
(98% of the time) If we repair your console it will be packaged back up and sent back to you via Priority Mail or UPS Ground and send you the tracking number.
(2% of the time) If we can't repair your console we will of course let you know and leave you with 2 options. Either we can buy the console from you for a negotiated price or we can ship it back to you. Since your console cannot be repaired we will refund your initial payment! Less shipping charges. That's right! If we can't fix it, you don't pay!
Step Four: (Assuming your console is repaired)
Back to gaming!
Our repair process is as follows in this order:
1) Disassembly
2) Full clean out of all dust with compressed air and Vacuum
3) Remove existing thermal paste and thermal pads
4) Reflow GPU, Test, Reflow CPU, Test, Reball GPU, Test, Replace GPU, Test, Reflow South Bridge, Test, Reflow RAM Chips, Test (Procedure stops when test yields a working unit in some cases we will Reball GPU anyway just to be safe) This applies to most consoles but the procedure is very similar on all consoles.
5) Remove GPU and CPU IHS (Metal plates on top of chips) (PS3 Only)
6) Apply Arctic Silver 5 on GPU and CPU
7) Apply adhesive and reattach IHS's (PS3 Only)
8) Apply Arctic Silver 5 on GPU and CPU IHS's (PS3 only)
9) Replace Thermal Pads
10) Re-Assembly
11) 2 Hour stress test

Our Warranty:
On each console that comes and goes we apply our warranty sticker to. Consider this our promise to you that your console will last you for many years to come! Now if that sticker is removed or tampered with, the warranty is no longer valid and considered to be void. The duration of the warranty period is 6 months. In the event your console fails again for the SAME reason we will attempt to repair it at our own expense. You just need to pay shipping.
The process will take about 1-2 days and it will be shipped back as soon as possible. It is possible that it may take longer, if this happens we will let you know as soon as possible!
