3:1 Polyolefin heat shrink will shrink down to one third of its nominal diameter, and less than 10% of its length.
The diameter of heat shrink tubing is measured as a round tube, not flat, so make sure that the shrink tubing is larger than what you are covering.
Use the 3 to 1 heat shrink tubing to insulate cables and wires, provide a protective barrier, strengthen cable joints and color code wires.
