These are the Best looking and the Best built Motorcycle Heat Deflectors on the Market since 2002!
The fitment is the same look as found on all CVO Softails from 2000 to 2017. Unlike our competitors products that are made of leather or plastic which can warp, crack, deteriorate, fade and just not last compared to ours. Which is made of .040 aluminum and has a vinyl covering bonded to it's surface that matches the grain of your seating thus giving an extended saddle look that blends in with the styling of your motorcycle. All materials used for the production of our products and manufacturing are 100% American made and Patented: US 6,854,542 B2. The black vinyl that we use has a Mildew Resistant: CFFA-120 / ASTM G21-96. This is the same covering that is used on the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) seats.

Installation & Fitment

If your Softail has other than a stock exhaust system and it doesn't follow the OEM's pipe routing. Please contact the Seller with the type of exhaust system you presently have to be sure of our fitment.

Our Heat Deflectors are NOT designed to be installed over existing deflectors. Our Heat Deflectors have predetermined shape characteristics that promote the deflection of heat away from the rider. Any other deflectors must be removed.

Fabrication:

The very first step in the production of our Deflectors starts at the machine shop. Here they laser cut each piece. The laser cutting anneals the edge of the deflector. This strengthens the edge and any other cuts required per order, keeping it from allowing spider cracks to form from the vibration, wind and heat that our motorcycles are constantly stressed with. After we receive it from the machine shop. Our product is made "The Old School Way, By Hand". Each Deflector is hand assembled. This is not a piece work environment. Each set is assembled as if it was meant for that individual assembler's motorcycle. The .040 aluminum we use has an enamel finish on both sides. The underside is gloss black and will not cause a distraction if you were to see it's reflection in any of your chrome. Where as the outer side is gloss white. This outer side is sanded thoroughly and wiped clean with lacquer thinner, which also softens the white enamel. We use an industrial strength spray adhesive that is applied to the deflector's prepped white surface and also to the back of the black vinyl covering. A squeegee is then used to ensure there's no bubbles or dust particles trapped between the two surfaces. After each deflector is trimmed with an Exacto Knife, we then cover the two surface edges with a black extruded neoprene rubber "U" channel, similar to the "U" channel you will find separating the motorcycles painted tank surface from coming in contact with the tank's center console. We use the best instant adhesive to bond the "U" channel. The instant adhesive that one can purchase in a store, cannot hold up against the constant heat that emits off the engine and will in time crystallize and fall apart. Where as the adhesive we use holds like there's no tomorrow. We apply our adhesive to both sides of the rubber "U" channel. After the glue sets up, making sure that it has cured, we would then hand compound the black side, ridding any finger prints or haze the glue might give off when setting up. The vinyl surface is also cleaned with a wax & grease remover to ensure a complete coverage of a black leather dye that we apply. After the dye's application. We hand wipe it to match the matte finish of the OEM seat covering.

Heat Deflector Characteristics

Provide more than just Styling, Function and the Rider in Mind. Passengers will also benefit from our Design. Your passenger will experience a great reduction in the Engine's Heat which comes in contact with their right ankle and inner calf area. All oil tanks on Softails, without our product; will cause a direct path of heat discomfort for most passengers.
Our Heat Deflectors give a distinguished look as an Extension of your Motorcycle's Seat.

Their appearance blends in with your motorcycle's styling, while protecting you from the Searing Heat. This heat has been known to cause 1st and 2nd degree burns, resulting in accumulative cell tissue damage to your Inner Thighs.
