Bona Gap Master is a silicone and solvent-free, flexible mastic filler making it ideal for filling gaps between floor boards, skirting and door thresholds. Easily and quickly applied with a mastic gun. Can be sanded if required and overcoated with water-based varnishes.

Bona Gap Master is non-flammable, dries within 18-24 hours with a full hardening time of 2-3 days. Manufactured from a polyacrylate compound making it very low odour.

One tube fills 33 linear metres based on 3mm deep and wide gaps.

Preperation

Ensure that surfaces to which Bona Gap Master is to be applied are clean, dry and free from contamination and loose materials. Wider gaps in floors may require rope, foam backing rod or other method to prevent the filler from falling through the gap during application

Cut the dome seal of the tube with a sharp knife, taking care not to damage the thread. Screw the nozzle on to the tube. Cut the tip of the nozzle at an angle to suite the size and shape of the gap to be filled.

Squeeze the trigger of the mastic gun to get the Gap Master flowing from the end of the nozzle. Apply a continuous bead of filler ensuring that contact is made with surfaces on either side of the gap. Immediately smooth bead with a flat edge, sponge or wetted finger.

Bona GapMaster can be sanded after 18 - 24 hours and over-coated with a varnish or paint

Cleaning

Wipe residual GapMaster from tools with a rag or cloth before cleaning with water. Dried material can be removed from surfaces mechanically

Store in a location where the temperature will not fall below 5℃ or exceed 25℃. Store in a well ventilated place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.

Keep the container tightly sealed and upright when not in use to prevent leakage from the nozzle. Keep product away from oxidising agents and strong acidic / alkaline materials.
