Offered is a great vintage Battery Operated Toy that was made in Western Germany.  It is titled Distler Electromatic Strom-Tankstelle Power Filling Station (Poste de Chargement d'accumulateurs).  It is Petroliana advertising Shell ICA.  I believe this toy to be from 1950.  This vintage toy comes with it's original instructions and box!  The automobile is a red Studebaker.  It is plastic with a metal underside and rubber tires.  The Filling Station is in excellent condition and works wonderfully!  The Filling Station is all metal except for the vinyl filling tube.  The car is presently not working.  I see the red wire is detached from the motor and would require a simple solder to repair.  There is a small lever above the back bumper that one would slide over to charge the vehicle and I assume is the on/off switch.  This is broke off, but it was saved.  Possibly this could be fixed if someone was skilled in this type of repair.  The original battery (very unusual and progressive for this era) is present but very possibly could be dead.  For one of these reasons the vehicle is not working.  But the Studebaker is in excellent condition!  The battery compartment (that takes 2 D Batteries) is very clean.  The Shell Station is great with only very light edge wear.  (I'm being quite picky here!)  The dial spins when fueling as shown in the video.  The filling station measures about 6 3/4" x 3 1/4".  The Studebaker measures about 5 1/2" x 2".  The box has great graphics and is in decent condition with normal edge wear.  There is a 4" edge split on the lower right corner edge and a 1 1/4" split going up the side from that corner.  The whole right corner is also split.  The box bottom is great.  It comes with it's original instructions.  They are fragile, but complete.  A fantastic vintage Western Germany Battery Operated Gas Station Advertising Toy to add to your collection!
