This cap is compatible with the newer Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 lens with 52mm filter front.  If you have the older Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 lens (S.C.)  with chrome ring & 55mm filter front, then you'll need a 55mm cap (can be purchased from our store).
