** IMPORTANT, BEFORE INSTALLATION **
* Press Menu, 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), 3 (System Info).
* 9241 MUST have software version 249 or higher.
* 612, ViP612 MUST have software version L640 or higher.

How to change drive :
1. Purchase proper hard drive.
2. Clear NVRAM. (see instructions below)
3. Unplug unit.
4. Remove 4 case cover screws on back of unit.
5. Remove cover.
6. Pop off front panel by depressing front panel clips and pushing panel away from front.
7. Remove hard drive bracket screws front, side, rear and unplug hard drive.
8. Install new hard drive, drive bracket, and attach hard drive data and power cable.
9. Plug in unit and wait (up to 5 minutes) error message appears asking for reformat.
10A. Choose okay and wait until format and reload of data on hard drive is completed. If not working try 10B.
10B. Sometimes you may need to leave it connected to a satellite feed overnight for the hard drive to marry. If not working try 10C.
10C. Do a manual Format HDD procedure. (see instructions below)

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Shipping :
Tracking number and insurance are both included with all shipping options. ESD safe materials will be used for packaging.

Return :
When applicable; return must be asked in the next 14 days of item reception and a 15% restocking fee may apply on non DOA item. Item must be in same condition as reception. Shipping cost are not refundable.

Manual procedures :

How to access the Memory Dump screen:
Press Menu, 6 (System Setup), 3 (Diagnostics).
Within 5 seconds press Info, Browse, Theme.

Clear NVRAM:
<<You should be at the Memory Dump screen.>>
Press TV/Video.
A different screen will pop up telling you that you have erased the NVram.
Then just press the power button on the receiver.
You will lose all favorites, timers and customized settings.
You may lose remote control, (How to fix: https://support.bell.ca/tv/receivers/9241_hd_pvr_plus_receiver.my_remote_is_not_working)

Format HDD:

Press Play, Play, Recall
You will lose all recordings!
