Imagine a shiny spiral staircase as the centrepiece of your new home or renovation...well the GAMIA METAL staircase from Misterstep is an Italian designed staircase guaranteed to add flair and style.
Available in three widths, two base colours and rubber mat treads, the GAMIA METAL can be configured in any number of ways to precisely match your home decor.
It's height adjustable between 273 and 299cm and if you need to go higher. The system can be extended by buying one or more supplementary rises, to reach a maximum staircase height of 345cm.
The whole GAMIA system is designed for a competent DIY or trades person to build in a day. There is an instructional DVD to guide you through each step.
What's in the box?
1 GAMIA METAL staircase - comprising, 1 landing, 12 rises (13 rises/treads in total), center column and handrail, together with all the fixtures and fittings required to build the stair.
Additional Items Available:
Rises:
A rise consists of the tread frame, tread and balustrade. You can add up to 2 extra rises to get a maximum finished floor to floor height of 345cm.
Post:
The centre post is what the staircase hangs from. You'll need to buy an additional post if you are adding more than 1 rise. Our sales consultants will guide you further on this, together with the range of options and accessories before the order is placed with the factory.
Handrails:
If 1 or more rises are added to your staircase, then you'll need an additional handrail. Available in Moplen as standard or you can chose to have a solid beech handrail.
Balustrades:
The balustrade protects the upper floor opening, connecting the top of the staircase to your wall. These come in 94cm wide modules. You can purchase any quantity. These can be straight or form a circular shape.
Here's an example staircase:
Say your finished floor to floor height was 345cm, then you would order the following:
- 1 GAMIA METAL staircase
- 2 x Extra Rises (Treads)
- 1 x Extra Post
- 1 x Extra Handrail (Only for a 160cm wide staircase)
The staircase direction can be switched clockwise or anti-clockwise on the day of installation.
Technical Information:
- White (RAL 7035) and Embossed Black
- Silver Grey
Available diameter of the aperture you're building your staircase in must be an additional 5cm on the size staircase you wish to fit. I.e. if you are fitting a 120cm staircase, the diameter must be 125cm in order for the staircase to fit.
Lastly:
Remember, we will always call you before placing your order with the factory in Italy, to make sure that you have not missed anything and to double check your order is all correct. So things like colours and additional items can be added to your order to give you complete assurance and peace of mind.
Buying direct from the factory will ensure that your order will all come from the same batch for a perfect colour match.
We recommend you contact your local building control office to ensure you purchase the correct size staircase to comply with the regulations in your area.

Standard finished floor to finished floor height is 273 to 299cm
Additional rises increase staircase height to desired level:
- From 210 to 230cm (13 - 3) = 10 rises
- From 231 to 253cm (13 - 2) = 11 rises
- From 252 to 276cm (13 - 1) = 12 rises
- From 273 to 299cm (This is what is supplied) = 13 rises - Basic Kit
- From 294 to 322cm (13 + 1) = 14 rises
- From 315 to 345cm (13 + 2) = 15 rises
Note each Rise is adjustable from 21 to 23cm

Mainland UK (England, Wales & Southern Scotland) - Standard products (ladders & Steps) marked In Stock & Next Day delivery are delivered free of charge by either Tuffnells or Yodel.
Cut Off Times for Next Day Delivery - Where Applicable
- Weekday Orders - Orders placed Monday to Friday by 3:00PM (Or telephone your order by 5PM) ship the same day
- Weekend orders - Processed Monday for delivery Tuesday (Except Bank Holidays - deliveries go out the next available working day)
Delivery Times
All deliveries arrive anywhere between 8AM and 6PM Monday to Friday as standard.
Sign For Your Delivery
You must be present to sign for your delivery. Please check the contents of your delivery for damage before you sign for it. If you miss your delivery, a card will be left from the courier informing you of the attempted delivery along with details of how to contact them and details for the re-delivery check delivery tab.
Delivery Notes:
Every effort is made by our carriers and us to deliver your order within the specified time; however, the very nature of the product dictates that we cannot always guarantee the delivery date.
In the unlikely event we cannot deliver your order within the specified time, we will try to contact you in order to advise you of the situation and take instructions as to how you would prefer us to proceed.
